We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Finance to lead and elevate the financial function at SellCord. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is responsible for driving financial strategy, establishing scalable processes, and providing the operational support our growing business needs. You will oversee a team that includes the Controller, bookkeepers, accounts receivable, and accounts payable bringing clarity, accountability, and structure to our entire finance function.
This is a high-ownership role for a builder who thrives in dynamic environments. We are looking for a leader who will take full ownership, implement processes from the ground up, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
Own the company's financial strategy, reporting, and planning, serving as the primary financial advisor to the CEO.
Take full ownership of the billing function, identify gaps, build and enforce a proactive billing process, and ensure revenue is captured accurately and on time.
Oversee and optimize the QuickBooks and HubSpot integration to ensure clean data flow between sales and finance systems.
Lead cash flow management, forecasting, and monitoring to support business planning and operational decisions.
Drive exit readiness initiatives and support corporate structure planning in partnership with the CEO and external advisors.
Establish and enforce financial controls, workflows, and best practices across the organization.
Partner cross-functionally to align financial processes with business operations and growth objectives.
Skills and Qualifications
7+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership role.
Demonstrated ability to build financial processes from scratch and create accountability in environments with existing gaps.
Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks; experience with HubSpot or CRM-to-accounting integrations is highly preferred.
Proven expertise in cash flow management, financial planning, and strategic financial reporting.
Excellent leadership and team development skills; comfortable managing a distributed finance team.
Detail-oriented and proactive, you identify issues before they escalate and follow through to resolution.
